In Kharkiv region, the occupiers began issuing Russian license plates with code 188

Residents of the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv region are being offered Russian license plates with code 188, which were allocated to the seized territories of Kharkiv region. The series starts with A001AB and A002AB — according to the report of Russian propagandists. However, as always, Russian TV reports speak of mass issuance of Russian plates, although in reality only… two have been made so far.

The occupiers issue plates with the non-existent 188 Russian region, which in fact could create many problems for Ukrainian motorists, as it is impossible to travel anywhere beyond the occupied territories of Kharkiv region with them. Moreover, the owners of such cars are not allowed into Russia either. Propagandists explain that this is because “the cars are not cleared through customs.”
