Russia intends to introduce fuel supply limits for unfriendly foreigners

The discussion is about restricting the supply of diesel fuel for foreign carriers. If a foreign truck attempts to refuel beyond the set limit, the unfriendly foreigner will have to pay compensation at European prices (for instance, in the UK, the average price of one liter of diesel fuel is 1.99 pounds).

As reported by Russian media, the ‘limited refueling’ is supposed to be a retaliatory measure against alleged violations of cargo transit agreements to Kaliningrad by Lithuania and the EU.

Recall that until recently, Ukraine had fuel supply limits in place for almost everyone except special services, the military, etc. In addition, people had to spend hours waiting in lines. However, this was due to the fuel shortage that emerged not without Russia’s help, as it shelled many refineries and fuel storage facilities. The situation has now significantly improved – the limits have been lifted, and refueling is possible everywhere.
