Ukrainians are reviving the Carpathian moped as an electric bike (video) en

In Ukraine, they plan to revive the popular 80s Carpathian moped. Moreover, it will be electric, reports Auto-Consulting.

An interesting project is brought to life by the Ukrainian company Delfast, which creates some of the best electric bicycles in the world (even purchased by the US police). It is the Delfast electric bike that forms the basis of the moped.

The new Carpathian moped will weigh 68 kg and receive a motor with a power of about 3-4 kW (4-5.5 hp) and a battery capacity of 3.5 kWh. It will be able to accelerate up to 55 km/h.

The design is executed with elements of the 80s style. The handlebars are practically the same as those of the Carpathians, and the wheels are relatively small – 16-inch. In addition, the pedals are retained, which means it is formally an electric bicycle.

You can buy the Carpathian moped for about 5-6 thousand dollars. Production may be established in Ukraine, but the main part of the products is planned to be exported, primarily to the USA.

By the way, this is not the first revived Ukrainian motorcycle brand from Delfast. Previously, they created the Dnipro electric motorcycle.
