The address of Volodymyr Zelensky to the Australian Parliament had a positive result. They decided to impose an embargo on Russian oil and gas (although Australia probably wasn’t buying them), as well as to provide military equipment to Ukraine.

The entire list of military aid is not disclosed, but Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison stated that bulletproof vests, ammunition, and Bushmaster armored vehicles would be sent to Ukraine. They will be delivered by Boeing C17 Globemaster aircraft.
The Bushmaster armored vehicle is in service with the Australian army, as well as in the UK, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Japan. It weighs 11.4 tonnes and is designed for a driver and 10 passengers.

The Bushmaster armor protects against bullets from Kalashnikovs and M16s, as well as machine guns and sniper rifles of 7.62 mm caliber. The bottom withstands an explosion of 8 kg of TNT. Armament can vary: a turret with a 12.7 mm machine gun is usually mounted on the roof.
Under the hood is a 7.2-liter, 300-horsepower Caterpillar turbo diesel. With it, the Bushmaster armored vehicle reaches 100 km/h. The armored vehicle is equipped with power steering, a 6-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. It is capable of crossing 1.2-meter fords.
