A resident of Uzhgorod, Yuriy Rusnak, restored a rare in our region FIAT-NSU 508 from 1932. Now this collectible retro car is in excellent condition, but the restorer had to work hard to bring it back to life.

Just five years ago, this FIAT-NSU 508 was a pile of scrap metal, reports Suspilne Zakarpattia. The car stood outdoors for three decades, which led to its corrosion.
The restoration turned out to be long and complicated, and a significant part of the missing parts was bought online. Fortunately, the engine was preserved and could be restored.

The FIAT-NSU 508 is a version of the popular pre-war Italian model assembled in Germany. In general, FIAT 508 Balilla was produced in many European countries – France, Czechoslovakia, Poland.
The two-door coupe is equipped with a 1.0-liter 25-horsepower gasoline engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. Its maximum speed is 90 km/h, and the average fuel consumption is 8 l/100 km.
