Together with an accomplice, she planned to extort a ransom (amounting to 5 bitcoins) from a Russian businessman who recently bought her an exclusive Bentley, as well as a Porsche Macan and apartments in the UAE.
Speaking of the Bentley, it was recently spotted on Ukrainian roads and was immediately dubbed one of the most unusual Bentley Bentayga crossovers. And the point is not the fact that it’s one of the most expensive SUVs, but that it has a very exclusive color, although it might be an acquired taste, of course.
According to investigators, on June 27, they received a report from a friend that the 23-year-old Instagram star had stopped answering calls. Already the next day, a criminal case was opened under the article of premeditated murder with the note “missing person.” Law enforcement tracked the car by its numbers in which “Tigra” was allegedly taken and found that the vehicle was located in Kyiv, and money was being withdrawn from the “abducted” person’s bank card in the capital’s restaurants and stores.
Later, law enforcement, according to Yevhen Zub, learned that 23-year-old blogger Ekaterina Yakimenko (Yakimiv) “Tigra” staged her own kidnapping together with a lover from Kyiv, and the goal of the young people was a ransom of 5 bitcoins (over 4.6 million hryvnias). They planned to get this money from the same businessman who showered Ekaterina with material gifts.
According to Focus, Ekaterina Yakimenko (Yakimiv) was detained with her lover and taken to one of the detention centers in Kharkiv. She was put in custody with the right to bail of 3 million hryvnias. Currently, the Instagram account of the 23-year-old blogger is closed.
