Ukrainian-Polish Crew on a 90-Year-Old Car to Participate in Monte Carlo Rally 2023

The crew consisting of Michał Kumiega/Svitlana Kravs in a retro Peugeot 201 C (manufactured in 1932 from the Potocki family’s garage) has set off for the anniversary 25th Monte Carlo Rally. Lviv will join five European cities where participants of this year’s most prestigious European winter races on historic cars will start preliminarily.

The Ukrainian-Polish crew will cover over 2000 kilometers and will open this year’s competition on the main podium in Monte Carlo. In this way, the Royal Automobile Club of Monaco will honor this brand’s victory in the 1932 competition in the class of cars up to 1500 cu. cm.

The Ukrainian city of Lviv shares much in automotive history with Monte Carlo. In 1932, car races were held here on the “Lviv Triangle” circuit. Today, only TWO historical city circuits remain unchanged in Europe – in Monte Carlo and Lviv. The “Monte Carlo Historics Rally” is gaining popularity in Ukraine. In the 2023 competition, only one crew will represent Ukraine.

It is also noted that in the old days Formula 1 took place in Lviv!
