In the US, a unique 1967 Bizzarrini GT America 2+2 prototype has been put up for auction. The car, with only 5,452 km on the odometer, is valued at $400,000-$500,000. Carscoops reports.

The Bizzarrini GT America 2+2 was shown at the 1968 Turin Motor Show. The grand tourer’s body is made of aluminum and painted in Champagne Metallic. The car received chrome bumpers, magnesium wheels, vents on the front fenders, and four exhaust pipes.
The interior is trimmed in brown leather. Inside are a wood-rimmed steering wheel, classic gauges, power windows, and two individual rear seats separated by a wide center console.

The Bizzarrini GT America 2+2 is equipped with a 5.4-liter V8 displacing 327 cubic inches from a Chevrolet Corvette. The engine produces about 355 hp and works with a four-speed manual transmission. Drive is to the rear wheels.

The design also includes disc brakes, independent front suspension, and a De Dion rear axle. Over its history, the prototype changed hands several times, and in 2008 it was restored.
The odometer of the Bizzarrini GT America 2+2 reads 5,452 km. The car will be offered on October 2 at the Broad Arrow Audrain Auction in Newport, Rhode Island. The expected price is from $400,000 to $500,000.
