In Finland, a dump with Soviet cars was found. Dozens of cars have been rusting under the open sky for years and are of no use to anyone.
In general, the USSR actively supplied cars to Europe and, in particular, to Finland. Moreover, Soviet cars abroad were cheaper than at home (if you convert the prices at the official exchange rate). The VAZ-2109 was even produced by the Finns.
In fact, it was due to the cheapness of Volga, Moskvitch, and Zhiguli that they were bought in the West. However, over time they became outdated and fell out of demand.
In the photos, you can notice various Soviet cars – from Moskvitch-400 and Volga GAZ-21 to Niva. Some cars are in tolerable condition, while others have trees growing through them.
By the way, this is not the only dump of Soviet cars in the West.
Similar cemeteries exist even across the ocean.
