The incident was reported on the Informator website (actually, it was their car that was hijacked). At Independence Square, a drunk criminal pushed a female police officer out of the car and hit her several times on the head. Then he got into a Prius, ran over the police officer, and fled.

The Informator’s car was passing by at that time. When the filming crew stopped and got out to see what happened, the unknown person jumped into their car. At the last moment, the Informator’s driver managed to get into the car. It turned out that it wasn’t a hijacking – a witness to the crime decided to catch the criminal this way. He didn’t succeed, but the attacker was later captured on Railway Highway, where he crashed the Prius.
