A rare 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was spotted on the streets of Kyiv. This is truly an iconic American car and a real collectible rarity.
As reported by First gear, this is the final model of the third generation, as the Corvette C3 was produced from 1968 to 1982 (with a total of 542,861 cars made). Among the features of the coupe is the fuel injection on the 5.7-liter V8 and a 4-speed automatic transmission (previously, the Corvette automatics were three-speed).
The engine’s power is not very impressive – only 200 hp.
It’s due to strict eco-standards, and previously the Corvette was more powerful. For instance, in the late ’60s, it developed 300-585 hp, and the coolest version ZL1 accelerated to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and reached 320 km/h.
The body of the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is made of fiberglass, and the roof panels are removable, so we have a targa coupe. The car’s appearance is styled in Coke Bottle Styling, as the body shape indeed resembles a drink bottle.
