An Unknown Bentley Station Wagon for Gourmet Oligarchs Goes on Sale

This Bentley station wagon is one of a kind in the world, and it was made by order of an unknown American millionaire in the 1960s. The unique model is called Bentley S2, and it was built by the specialists at Wendler workshop.

In total, Wendler produced 6 long-wheelbase Bentley S2s, but the station wagon was made for a “special client,” hence there are no others like it. Most curiously, the German workshop took the Mercedes-Benz 300SE (W112) as the basis for creating the Bentley station wagon!

Because of this, it cannot be said that it is a genuine Bentley station wagon. Especially since it includes not only body parts from Mercedes but also interior parts. For example, the front headlights are German, while the rear lights are from Buick.

The interior is upholstered in red leather and lavishly covered with natural veneer. As for the engine, hidden under the hood is a 6.2-liter V8 coupled with an automatic transmission.

And even though it is, in some sense, a “patchwork,” a hefty sum is being asked for it. The classic car dealer Hyman intends to sell this retro-exclusive for 575 thousand dollars.

Speaking of unusual station wagons, we highly recommend taking a look at the rarest Mercedes station wagons, which you probably didn’t know about.
