Vehicle customs clearance in Ukraine is free during martial law. The corresponding bill was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, and it cancels customs payments from April 1.
The new law exempts almost all imports from taxes, including vehicles. Thus, VAT on the import of cars and motorcycles has been lifted for single tax payers of groups 1, 2, and 3.

Moreover, individuals are exempt not only from VAT but also from excise duty and import duty when importing cars, motorcycles, buses, and trailers. That is, for ordinary citizens, vehicle customs clearance is completely free.
Earlier, in several regions of Ukraine, MIA service centers resumed operation. They are now registering new and used cars only imported from abroad.
