In Ukraine, driverless vehicles might be put on the route as early as 2019. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure, Volodymyr Omelyan, on the air of the channel “Pryamiy”. In Ukraine, they plan to launch driverless buses very soon

According to him, the line of driverless electric buses could be launched between terminals D and F of Boryspil airport. Next spring, they plan to reopen terminal F, and transport will be needed to reach it. Volodymyr Omelyan explained that launching an electric bus between the terminals is cheaper than, for example, a train.

The fact is that, in any case, a tunnel will have to be built, and it’s easier to dig it for a bus. In Ukraine, they plan to launch driverless buses very soon

The driverless vehicle could become a “highlight” of Boryspil, and this project is much easier to implement than Hyperloop. The Minister of Infrastructure is not yet sure that a driverless vehicle will be launched, but it will definitely be an environmentally friendly electric bus. Driverless buses have already been experimentally operated in a number of European countries. In particular, they have circulated in London, Stockholm, Helsinki, and Tallinn.
