In recent years, cars from various parts of the world have begun to be actively transported to Ukraine – from Georgia, the USA, European countries, and even from the Emirates and South Korea. As for Japan, these are isolated cases and more likely an exception rather than the rule.
However, the other day a reader of TopGir shared an interesting story with us – someone is already not the first time importing classic Mercedes into Ukraine, and not from Poland or Germany, but from… Japan!
As proof, our reader sent us fresh photos of two Mercedes-Benz in the 124th body (coupe and sedan), which have just been brought to Kiev from Odessa. As seen in the pictures, Japanese characters can indeed be seen on the car windows.
What surprises is that the cars are left-hand drive! It is also curious concerning their legalization, as the legal customs clearance of cars from such years, in theory, is possible, but it would cost just cosmic money.
P.S. We looked at the cost of the 124s in Japan and were even more surprised – what’s the point???
