Last weekend, a festival of automotive culture Motor Beat took place in Kyiv. It is the Ukrainian answer to the American customized car show SEMA, the German festival Worthersee, and the European car event Raceism, which brings together different trends and kinds of automotive culture.
Motor Beat is a rather young event, taking place in Ukraine for just the third time. However, judging by the participants’ activity in 2020, the 2021 festival could become one of the largest in the history of Ukraine. All because, despite the quarantine and elections, dozens of owners of customized, lowered, and just non-standard cars came to the capital to participate in the festival.
As per established tradition, the cars of Motor Beat participants were divided by thematic zones and geographical origin. In total, more than fifty cars from different corners of Ukraine participated in the festival – from Kyiv and Irpin to Odesa and Uzhhorod.
Apart from the abundance of stance culture representatives of completely different brands, a considerable number of iconic young-timers (including Nissan Silvia s15 and other JDM cars) and old-school retro cars like VW Beetle and Soviet GAZ and VAZ gathered at the festival. A special place, of course, was given to classic Zaporozhets cars, whose owners turned them into real masterpieces.
This year, as in 2019, the Motor Beat festival took place on the territory of the Nanoprotec car service, with chefs and bartenders from Party Place providing food and drink for participants.
The fuel partner, Glusco, presented the winners with fuel certificates.
Additionally, organizers held contests offering innovative car chemicals from Nanoprotec. Next year, organizers plan to continue scaling the automotive culture show and hope it will attract attention not only from Ukrainians but also from foreign participants.
Additionally, three companies specializing in parts and accessories for tuning and car modifications became event partners. These include the multi-brand company WheelsPro, which represents tires from world manufacturers in the Ukrainian market, Fox Replica (accessories and tuning), and Iskra wear – automotive art in the form of prints on clothing.
As for the best of the best, the fiercest battle unfolded among the contenders for best exhaust, but despite the efforts of worthy and very loud participants, spectators gave the victory to the owner of the blue Zaporozhets.
