Customs Clearance Has Been Revoked in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada voted to revoke zero customs clearance. The government bill was supported in both readings and a total of 234 MPs voted for it.

Free customs clearance in Ukraine will be abolished from July 1st. Initially, pre-war excise, VAT, and duties will be reinstated, but a brand-new clearance scheme through the ‘Diia’ application will soon be implemented. The formula for calculating charges is complex and includes many coefficients.

Recall that zero customs clearance in Ukraine was introduced on April 9th. Since then, almost 200,000 cars have been imported already.
