Rare Turbo chewing gum wrapper sold in Ukraine for four-figure sum

The wrapper from Turbo chewing gum #1 went under the hammer for almost $200. It is one of the rarest and most desired collectibles of the 90s. That’s where it all began… that’s why TopGir even has a separate section dedicated to car heroes from chewing-gum wrappers. However, with the start of the war, we even stopped updating it. But maybe it’s time to revive it… One can say that the first Turbo No. 1 Opel Ascona was sold on Viola for 6556 hryvnias. As the seller writes, ‘1000% ORIGINAL. Sometime, when I was a kid, I collected them. Personally exchanged it with my neighbor, who found it in his gum. It lay in my stamp album for years, probably around 35)))’. Until February 24th, it was reported that Turbo wrapper #70 was sold in Ukraine for $74. As for this Ascona, as it is mentioned on the auction site, a similar lot (or the same one?) was sold at auction in the summer of 2023 for over 10 thousand hryvnias. Apparently, someone longed to possess this ordinary but rare collectible piece of paper.
