A large amount of moisture, salt and agents, resins, and bitumen – all this ‘joy’ is absorbed by both the paintwork and interior elements of the car during the autumn-winter periods of operation. Apart from the aesthetic aspect of this issue, there are also hygiene and health protection elements. And later we will explain how.
Let’s start with the body. If you run your hand over the clean door (from the middle and below) of your car right after a wash, you’ll feel that the surface resembles sandpaper. Squat down and look closely, and you’ll see a huge number of small spots stuck on the body. There are bitumen stains, metal inclusions, road agents. Not only does all this spoil the appearance of the car (the shine fades, chrome and other decorative elements turn dull, the body quickly becomes dirty), but it also destroys your car’s lacquer, which over time can lead to corrosion. The procedure for cleaning the body should be carried out at least twice a year, but if you drive a lot on highways, it should be done as soon as it gets too dirty.
Body cleaning is a basic mandatory option for high-mileage cars before subsequent restorative and protective polishing. We won’t delve into the technical details of polishing, but note that if your car’s body has scratches, the correct option would be restorative polishing first, and only then protective.

The largest number of germs can be found on the steering wheel, handles, seats, and the floor – all those places we have physical contact with. Moisture in the fiber of floor coverings combined with warm air creates an excellent environment for microorganism reproduction.
Salt deposits dried on carpet mats are also a fairly common occurrence. So, we breathe all this in. Therefore, it’s very important to conduct a full or localized interior dry cleaning after winter and to ozonize the interior. Ozone is an excellent helper in fighting microbes. Furthermore, the steering wheel should be cleaned regularly, especially considering the Covid virus situation.
