Simply put, “reported” – got a “kickback” from the state. However, earning those very 10 percent is not so easy, and you cannot earn them for all traffic violations. This is stated in the bill, reports Parliament.
Citizens who recorded violations in photo (video) mode and used a special software tool, who submitted the relevant information to the authorized body, receive the status of informants and, in case of the offender being held accountable and paying the imposed fine, can receive a reward of 10% of the fine.
It is specified that special programs will need to be used, which will ensure user identification through “Diia”, guarantee the authenticity of photos and videos, and show the time, date, and geographic coordinates of the recording.
10% of the Paid Fine for Traffic Violations
- passing a vehicle at a prohibited traffic signal;
- crossing double solid lines and/or railway crossings;
- parking in disabled spots and general parking violations;
- leaving the scene of an accident.
