We had, let’s say, a fast start with one product, and I admit it wasn’t perfect. We had certain problems in the market, but all of Mazda’s resources were directed towards fixing them. Now, in my opinion, the car is already well-developed.

Fritsche also noted that market pressure forced the company to accelerate the launch, which ultimately affected quality. The inability to test the car in various conditions meant that engineers could not fully adapt it to the needs of European drivers.

Mazda has taken a number of measures to correct the situation. For example, since October 2023, updated rear shock absorbers have been installed on the models. However, even these changes did not solve all the problems, so in 2024 the company announced additional suspension updates for the 2025 model year.
