by The Czech brand Skoda is widely known in Ukraine for its cars, but not everyone knows that it has a rich bicycle history. Also, let us remind you that there is a full-fledged auto giant “Eurocar” in Zakarpattia, where Skoda bicycles may begin production as soon as 2022.
This was stated today, April 1, by President Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the head of state, such consolidation will benefit everyone. Moreover, the plant will be provided with orders right at the start of production, as Zelensky has big plans to get officials on bicycles. Will everyone be able to pedal? Of course not, some might not even be able to sit on a bike; they might break it. But the Guarantor also has a solution for that—electric bicycles (which Skoda also offers).
It is worth noting that in Europe, Skoda bicycles are produced by the Czech company Superior, which is part of the Bike Fun International group. The model range includes mountain bikes, electric bicycles, and of course, road bikes. Why of course? Because Skoda is one of the main sponsors of the most prestigious road cycling event in the world, the Tour de France.
