In 2025, the Hummer EV SUV sold on Bring a Trailer was practically new, with only 303 miles on the odometer.
It was equipped with the $10,000 Extreme Off-Road package and had an original price of $120,000.
It is not alone, as a similar low-mileage Hummer EV was recently taken for $82,000.
In 2022, when the Hummer EV first hit the streets, it was a big event. So much so, that people were actually reselling their shiny new electric Hummers for crazy prices, some selling for over $250,000. But today you can buy it for much less than you would have paid for a brand new model.
We stumbled upon several recent sales that really highlight this price drop. The first, most notable, was a recently delivered 2025 EV SUV 3X with the $10,000 Extreme Off-Road package. It was sold for $84,000 on Bring a Trailer. While this is still a lot of money, it is worth noting that the original price was $120,474, including the delivery fee. This means that its value dropped by over $36,000, despite having only 303 miles on the odometer.
As a 3X model, this fully electric pickup has an impressive 830 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of wheel torque, allowing it to accelerate to 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds. For powering the electric motors, there is a massive 170-kWh battery pack, and GMC claims the electric vehicle can travel up to 312 miles (502 km) on a single charge.
Since this 3X comes with the Extreme Off-Road package, it is ready for serious adventures. Think of 18-inch wheels with 35-inch off-road tires, five skid plates, rock sliders, front and rear differential lockers, suspension cameras, and a rear virtual locker. So, if you fancy taking your EV off the beaten path, this version is the obvious choice.
Further evidence of depreciation
While it’s somewhat unusual to see the Hummer EV selling for such a low price compared to the original price, it’s not unprecedented. Already in March, another Hummer EV SUV 3X was sold. It had 696 miles on the clock, an overall original price of $103,315, and over $15,000 worth of aftermarket accessories, including a $12,100 full PPF and new 22-inch wheels on Nitto Recon Grappler AT tires, and yet it sold for $82,000.
Obviously, as the electric Hummer becomes more common and other robust electric options, like *, enter the market, people are not willing to spend the same amount of money on GMC’s offering as they did a few years ago. The initial excitement may have been loud, but the price decline was deafening.
