Iconic Aston Martin of the 60s turned into a high-speed electric car

Aston Martin DB6 – a legendary model of the 60s, highly valued by collectors. Such a car is owned by Prince Charles, and it now runs not on gasoline but on wine. Aston Martin decided to go further and turned the DB6 into an electric car.

The base was the 1970 Aston Martin DB6 Volante convertible. From the outside, it does not differ from the standard model, but under the hood hides a power unit from Aston Martin RapidE.

Let us remind you that two electric motors develop 610 hp and have a torque of 950 N·m.

The specifications of the Aston Martin DB6 are unknown, but the heavier RapidE accelerates to a hundred in about 4 seconds. The 65 kWh battery allows traveling about 320 km without recharging.

This is not the first such conversion in Britain. Earlier, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle rode in an electric Jaguar E-Type at their wedding.
