In the USA, a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 250 GD is for sale. It may not seem luxurious or fast, but its price is high — $90,000, even despite a modest mileage of 78,000 km.
The fact is, the Mercedes G-Class was restored and modified by specialists at Expedition Motor Company. Now it has LED optics, a bull bar, a winch, underbody protection, and a snorkel.
Safety bars and a new soft top have also appeared, and the windshield folds forward.
BF Goodrich off-road tires are installed as well.
The interior has been reupholstered in new brown leather, and the floor of the car is wooden. As for the engine, the 2.5-liter 84-horsepower turbo diesel remains unchanged. Strangely enough, the tuners deemed this sufficient for the frame-based SUV. Of course, it is equipped with a transfer case and differential locks.
