by A new Toyota GR Yaris has appeared in Kyiv – the most extreme model in the modern lineup of the Japanese brand. The hot hatch is not officially sold in our country, and in general, it will be released in a limited series of 25,000 cars.

Toyota GR Yaris 2021 was created in the sports division Gazoo Racing – the same place where the Toyota Supra and the first Toyota supercar were developed. The hatch was designed as a civilian version of a rally car.
So it’s no surprise that Yaris received not only a 1.6-liter 260-horsepower turbo engine but also all-wheel drive. With a 6-speed manual transmission, it accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and reaches 230 km/h.

Moreover, the Toyota GR Yaris has an entirely new suspension and enlarged brakes. In addition, a completely new three-door body was created for the car, as all other Yaris models are currently five-door.
The hot hatch has widened fenders, a large rear spoiler, and even a carbon roof. The interior features sports seats and a steering wheel.

In general, this little rocket is brighter than all those Golf R. Even Jeremy Clarkson appreciated it and called it the best car of 2021 – just recently, in London, a prize was awarded to the representatives of Toyota.
