A unique plane from Ferrari flew to Ukraine

The rarest plane, Piaggio P.180 Avanti, was spotted at the capital’s airport “Boryspil”. It can rightfully be called a flying Ferrari, and this is no exaggeration.

The fact is that the co-owner of Piaggio is the Ferrari family. More precisely, a stake in the company was bought by Enzo Ferrari’s son, Piero (who is the vice-president of Ferrari), and he actively pushed forward the work on the P.180 Avanti. Even the Ferrari Formula 1 team often uses these aircraft to transport pilots.

The Piaggio P.180 Avanti is indeed very unconventional – it has an original layout with pusher propellers. This has improved aerodynamics and achieved speeds almost at the level of jet business jets – 740 km/h.

At the same time, the turboprop engines are much more economical, and the fuel reserve is sufficient to fly 2800 km without refueling. The cabin is designed for 7-9 passengers. Depending on configuration and equipment, the price of the Piaggio P.180 Avanti is 7-8 million dollars.
