Old Porsche of Pablo Escobar to be Sold for $2 Million

Few people know, but Pablo Escobar loved sports cars and racing. Moreover, the Colombian drug lord unofficially financed talented (in his opinion) drivers. And one of the racing sports cars bought by Escobar is up for sale on the DuPont Registry website.

We are talking about the 1974 Porsche 911 RSR. Only about a dozen and a half of these cars were made, and all of them were intended for the International Race of Champions (IROC).

This car was first driven by the Brazilian driver Emerson Fittipaldi, then the Porsche participated in the 24-hour marathon in Daytona, and later it was bought by drug lord Escobar.

According to the seller of the car, for which he is asking 2.2 million dollars, after being transported to Colombia, the racing sports car was equipped with a body kit from a Porsche 935. When Escobar died, the car was moved to the USA, where the iconic 911 RSR was restored to its original appearance.
