Ford has unveiled the new generation of the F-150 Raptor. The high-performance pickup will go on sale in the coming months, and an even more extreme Raptor R is promised in a year.

As before, the Ford F-150 Raptor is equipped with a 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 EcoBoost. The specifications are not yet disclosed, but it is indicated that they are at the level of its predecessor, that is, around 450 hp and 700 Nm.

However, the new Ford F-150 Raptor R will finally receive a V8. Most likely, it will be equipped with a supercharged engine from the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with a power output of over 700 hp, so it can compete with the world’s fastest pickup Ram 1500 TRX.

The turbocharged V6 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The all-wheel drive is supplemented by a Torsen rear differential, and a lockable front differential is available as an option.

Obviously, the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor has a massive ground clearance of 333 mm, off-road tires, and a set of modes for different types of terrain. The approach angle is 31°, and the departure angle is 23.9°. Reinforced shock absorbers are installed, and the suspension travel is 35-38 cm.
The new Ford F-150 Raptor is recognizable by its hood with an air intake, massive bumpers, and fender flares. Inside, there is a special finish in Alcantara and carbon, as well as a revised virtual instrument panel. Sports seats and a new steering wheel are also installed.
