by We have already written about the super powerful Niva from Kharkiv. Now there is a detailed review of this drag racing beast, created by Ukrainian and Polish specialists. 
From the outside, it’s a regular Niva, and only the wide tires reveal it as a racing missile. Under the hood is a 6.4-liter V8 from the Corvette with a Precision 7675 turbocharger, which even at a low boost pressure of 1.2 bar delivers 1200 hp. Its real limit is about 2500 hp.
The car is also equipped with a 4-speed TH400 automatic transmission and has been converted to rear-wheel drive. The tuning of the Niva is thorough, and there’s practically no original part left inside. Even in its 1250 hp version, the acceleration to 100 km/h takes only 2.31 seconds, and to 200 km/h, it’s 6 seconds. And the ¼ mile is easily covered in 9.3-9.4 seconds.
