A very unusual Ukrainian sports car was discovered in an old Kiev garage. The car was prepared for sports prototype competitions and possibly even for the 24-hour race at Le Mans. And it’s not a joke!
A video featuring the unique car is published on the Youtube channel Hello Garage. Especially shocking is the fact that the sports prototype is based on the ZAZ-968.
Yes, yes, the sports prototype is built on the basis of the Zaporozhets. However, it has a new fiberglass body with upward-opening doors ala McLaren, so the car is unrecognizable.
A safety cage and a bucket seat have also been added.
The ZAZ engine is equipped with two Weber carburetors, and disc brakes are installed on all wheels. In general, the machine may not be for Le Mans, but it is very interesting and it would be cool to restore it.
