The American site iSeeCars conducted a study on the liquidity of cars. Its experts analyzed 3.8 million used car listings three years old to determine how much cars lose in value.
The market average is 38% over three years. However, some models depreciate much faster, and they specifically made it into the iSeeCars ranking.
The Least Liquid Cars:
1 Acura RLX (value loss – 55.8%);
2 Lincoln MKZ (-55.6%);
3 Mercedes E-Class (-55.4%);
4 Jaguar XF (-54.8%);
5 Cadillac XTS (-54.5%);
6 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid (-54.5%);
7 Kia Quoris (-54.4%);
8 BMW 5 Series (-53.8%);
9 Cadillac CTS (-53.8%);
10 Audi A6 (-53.3%).
A separate liquidity ranking was formed for crossovers and SUVs:
1 Lincoln Navigator L (value loss – 51.6%);
2 Infiniti QX80 (-49.1%);
3 Lincoln MKT (-49.0%);
4 Ford Expedition (-48.7%);
5 Lincoln Navigator (-48.1%);
