Review of the Korean Golf Kia Ceed

Kia Cee’d – the fruit of the work of specialists from the KIA’s German design center. Therefore, in its appearance, one can see the spirit of European cars. The exterior of the model can be described as strict and concise, yet not devoid of expressive details.

Compared to its predecessors, the new Cee’d features a more aggressive front part. The interior can be described as: modern, stylish, and functional.

Engines

The range of Korean engines includes one gasoline 1.6-liter engine, producing 130 hp, and two diesel engines with volumes of 1.4 and 1.6 liters, whose power is 90 and 128 hp, respectively. In tandem with the units, a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission can work.

Interior

The cabin space is more than sufficient – four people can be accommodated without problems. The finishing materials are impeccable. The seats are quite well-profiled, and the range of adjustments allows you to choose the optimal position.

In handling, the Kia Ceed is no worse than the leaders of the golf class. It absorbs bumps somewhat rigidly, but elastically and without unpleasant noises. Ceed represents a compromise between comfort on bad roads and maneuverability on the highway and in turns.

Safety

Kia Ceed’s safety is all in order. According to the EuroNCAP method, the car has 5 stars or 89 out of 100 possible points.

The only complaint is the weak protection of the ribs in a side impact against a pole. It should also be noted that in the initial trims, the model does not have a stability control system and emergency braking assist but all versions without exception come with a full set of airbags.

In its segment, the Kia Ceed is one of the best cars for value for money. It is quite comfortable, well-built, and can be in the form of a traditional 5-door hatchback or a 5-door wagon. There is also a 3-door version, PRO CEED, with a hint of sportiness.

Unlike competitors, Ceed can have options that can be found in cars of a higher class. For example, Ceed is equipped with a heated steering wheel.

Consumption

Absolutely all versions of the Kia Ceed have moderate fuel consumption. So, in a mixed cycle, the gasoline model with a 1.6 engine and manual transmission consumes about 6.4 liters per ‘hundred’. Diesel versions even less – from 4.1 liters (with a 1.4 diesel and manual) to 5.6 liters (with a 1.6 diesel and automatic).

This means that regardless of the version, Ceed is very economical and even suitable for taxi http://express-taxi.ua/ua/.

Kia Ceed is a nice and harmonious car in every respect. This golf-class model has a decent level of equipment, economical engines, and a comfortable interior. Andrey Ivanenko
