Exhibition of Italian Design at BMW Museum
BMW is preparing a special exhibition titled “Belle Macchine: Italian Automotive Design at BMW”, which will highlight the influence of Italian design on the Bavarian brand’s automobiles. The exhibition will feature 23 historical models, as well as sketches from the company’s archives. The display covers the period from the 1930s to the 2010s.
Key exhibits include the BMW 3200 Michelotti Vignale (1959), BMW 3000 V8 (1966), and the BMW 2800 GTS Frua concept (1969). A replica of a lost concept car that influenced the design of the first generations of the BMW 3 Series and 5 Series will also be displayed. In addition to classics, visitors will be able to see modern concepts such as the Vision Neue Klasse (2023), which inspires the brand’s future models.
The exhibition will showcase how Italian designers helped shape BMW’s unique style, blending German engineering with an emotional Italian approach.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for automotive design enthusiasts to witness how the collaboration between BMW and Italian masters created true masterpieces. From retro models to modern concepts—each exhibit tells its own unique story.
