Rare McLaren F1 Could Set Auction Record
This McLaren F1 with less than 6,500 miles on the odometer could become the most expensive car sold at auction. Its price is expected to exceed $23 million. Collectors particularly value this model for its rarity and history.
The car was owned by Oracle founder Larry Ellison, who possessed it for over a decade, driving it less than 2,600 miles. It later changed owners twice but remained in perfect condition. In 2012, it was sent for service to McLaren in the UK, where new radiators were installed and the air conditioning system was updated.

The car looks practically new, with a perfect exterior and interior, including all original materials and components.
Due to the “Sealed” auction format, the final sale price may remain unknown. However, given the condition and history of this McLaren F1, it will undoubtedly attract the attention of the world’s wealthiest collectors.
This case once again highlights how legendary cars become not just vehicles, but true investment assets. The McLaren F1 remains one of the most revered models among car enthusiasts, and its price only grows over the years.
