Updated Renault Triber for the Indian Market
Despite the active development of electric and hybrid models in Europe, Renault continues to bet on traditional engines in India. One of the key models in this market remains the compact minivan Triber, which recently received an update.
External changes include a new radiator grille, updated headlights and bumpers. The interior received an 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system, a 7-inch digital instrument panel, and wireless smartphone charging.
Technical Features
The car retained its three-row cabin layout, allowing it to carry up to 7 passengers, although the third row is better suited for children. With the rear seats folded down, the luggage compartment volume increases to 625 liters.
Under the hood remains the 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine producing 71 hp, which is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission.
The updated model is already available for order in India. The base variant with minimal equipment starts from $7,300, while the top trim is priced at $10,614. The manufacturer is betting on affordability, offering a simple and practical car for urban conditions.
Despite the update, the Triber remains one of the most affordable seven-seater cars on the Indian market. Its compact dimensions (less than 4 meters in length) make it convenient for city driving, and the three-row cabin offers additional flexibility for family buyers. However, the weak engine can be a problem when the car is fully loaded.
