Cybertruck drove into such a remote area that it had to be extracted with a crane

Tesla Cybertruck Accident in California

A Tesla Cybertruck was involved in an accident in California, after which emergency services had to rescue the electric car from a ravine. The incident occurred on the I-15 highway in the Cajon Pass area. According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle around 3:15 a.m., and the car veered off the road, ending up approximately 180 meters away in thick brush.

Two of the Cybertruck’s wheels were torn off during the accident, and all airbags deployed. A crane was required to recover the vehicle, as a standard tow truck could not handle the task. The driver’s condition is unknown, but reports indicate he was able to exit on his own through the rear left door opening.

Complexity of the Rescue Operation

The local towing company, Armada Towing, published a video showing how difficult it was to extract the damaged car. This required the use of thick ropes secured to the body and a crane to lift it over a fence.

“The stainless steel body withstood the impact, but the wheels and suspension sustained serious damage”

Although the Tesla Cybertruck’s body proved to be quite durable, the consequences of the accident suggest the car is unlikely to be repairable. This case once again raises questions about the safety of electric vehicles, especially under extreme driving conditions.

Similar incidents involving the Cybertruck have occurred before, which could affect the perception of this model’s reliability. So far, there have been no official comments from Tesla regarding this accident.
