New 911 with a Slant Nose Appeared: Is it a Porsche or a Manthey?

New Porsche Prototype Near the Nürburgring

A new Porsche prototype has been spotted during testing near the Nürburgring. This car looks like a combination of modern design with elements of the Manthey kit for the 911 GT2 RS. Perhaps this model will be called Flachbau, which in German means “slant nose”.

Homage to a Classic Model

Porsche has always been famous for its special editions, and this prototype appears to pay homage to the 911 Turbo Slantnose model of the 1980s. The company had previously filed for the Flachbau and Flachbau RS trademarks, which confirms this theory.

Aggressive Design and Technical Features

The car looks incredibly aggressive, combining features of the 911 GT3 and 911 GT3 RS. However, it has a unique front end with thinner headlights and square air intakes. It also features vented wings, a hood with NACA ducts, canards, and a prominent front spoiler.

On the sides, it is equipped with center-lock alloy wheels, a high-performance braking system with yellow calipers, rear aerodynamic discs, a massive rear wing, and a sport exhaust system. Interestingly, the rear taillights are reminiscent of those used on the 991 model.

Resemblance to the Manthey Kit

The model is very reminiscent of the Manthey kit for the previous generation 911 GT2 RS. This could mean that we are seeing a new version from Manthey, rather than a special series from Porsche.

Regardless of what model this is, one can be sure that it will be expensive. However, details regarding the price and technical specifications will be revealed later.

This prototype demonstrates how Porsche continues to experiment with design, combining modern technology with classic elements. The use of the Flachbau name indicates the brand’s intention to bring back iconic features that may interest both collectors and high-performance car enthusiasts. Given Manthey’s involvement, even higher track performance can be expected.
