Dodge Recalls Thousands of Electric Charger Daytona Due to Sound Signal Issues
The Dodge company has announced a recall of 8,390 electric Charger Daytona vehicles from the 2024 and 2025 model years. The reason is a potential software failure that could block the operation of pedestrian sound alerts. This violates safety requirements, as electric cars must emit warning sounds at low speeds.
According to the manufacturer, approximately 3% of the recalled vehicles may have this problem. The fix will involve updating the amplifier software. Owners will receive notifications by July 10, and the repair will be free of charge.

Chrysler Also Announces Recall Due to Camera Issues
In addition to Dodge, Stellantis is recalling 140 Chrysler Pacifica and Voyager minivans from the 2023 model year. A manufacturing defect has been identified in them that could lead to the failure of the rearview camera. The problem is related to the soldering between the board and the image processing chip.
Dealerships will inspect the cameras and replace them if necessary. Notifications to owners will also be sent out by July 10.
These incidents occur against the backdrop of a difficult situation for Dodge’s electric models. The Charger Daytona, which replaced the classic versions with Hemi V8 engines, is facing weak demand, forcing the company to reduce prices on certain models by more than $20,000.
