In Germany, the world’s first limousine based on the BMW E39 was created (photo)

This is not Photoshop — before you is a real BMW 550i Touring (E39) with a wheelbase extended by a whole 1350 mm in the central section. Another pair of doors and a third row of seats were added to it, turning the restrained German station wagon into something… very bold.

Does it look impressive? Undoubtedly. Does it make sense? Debatable. But the fact remains: no one has made such a limousine based on the E39 “five-series” before. It looks more like an art object than a regular tuning — something on the border between a crazy experiment and a mad dream of a BMW fan.
