Ten conspirators were preparing a robbery, but none checked the condition of the car

Criminals attempted to steal premium cars but failed to account for details

A group of criminals broke into an auto repair shop in Flushing, Queens, and attempted to steal several expensive cars. However, their plan failed because most of the vehicles were inoperable. Police had to shoot at a Porsche Cayenne to stop it at an intersection.

According to law enforcement, about 10 people broke into the Express Auto Repair shop before it opened. They took keys to several vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz SL and a Porsche Cayenne. A workshop employee suggested that a former client might have been involved in the theft, as the keys are usually kept in a locked safe.

“All these cars belonged to the owner of the workshop. He bought them in a faulty condition and was repairing them.”

Police are currently searching for a black BMW that disappeared during the robbery. Two men have been detained for questioning, and the investigation is ongoing.

This incident shows how important it is to have reliable security systems for car dealerships and workshops. Even though most cars turned out to be undrivable, the criminals still managed to steal one vehicle. Business owners should review their key storage protocols and premises protection measures.
