The New Electric Cayenne Has More Displays Than Old Panels in a Vegas Swedish Table

Launch of the Electric Cayenne

Porsche is preparing for the launch of the electric version of the Cayenne, which will become a separate model in the lineup that also includes gasoline and hybrid variants. The full presentation is scheduled for the end of the year, but the company has already shown the interior, which looks like a large-scale OLED exhibition.

Interior of the Future

The Cayenne Electric introduces the so-called “interior of the future,” the design of which will later be used in other models. The central place is occupied by the Flow Display – a curved OLED screen that dominates the center console. Physical buttons remain for adjusting temperature, fan speed, and volume.

This is as far from the classic Porsche interior as one can imagine, unless you believe that the Stuttgart heritage has always been about lighting and huge tablets.

Screens and Technologies

The curved touchscreen is combined with a 14.25-inch OLED instrument panel, an optional 87-inch AR projection display, and a 14.9-inch screen for the passenger, allowing control of applications and watching videos. Technologies also include Porsche Digital Key, which can be shared with seven users, and an AI voice assistant.

Personalization and Comfort

The new Cayenne Electric offers a record number of personalization options: 13 interior color combinations, four trim packages, five accent sets, extended lighting, and five digital themes. Mood Modes have been added, which synchronize lighting, climate control, sound, and seats according to the driver’s preferences.

New materials are used: leather in Magnesium Grey, Lavender, or Sage Grey colors, as well as a vegan Race-Tex interior with Pepita-style textile, honoring Porsche’s heritage.

Hardware Innovations

Among the options is the largest glass roof in Porsche’s history with a sliding front section and a light adjustment function. Surface heating for armrests and door panels is also available, complementing heated seats and steering wheel. Electrically adjustable rear seats provide optimal space for passengers or luggage.

If all this is not enough, the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur and Sonderwunsch programs will offer unique solutions for an additional fee.

Exterior and Platform

Camouflaged prototypes confirm that the Cayenne Electric will be available in both regular and coupe-like bodies. The design combines the proportions of the current Cayenne with influences from the smaller Macan EV and more expressive aerodynamic elements.

Technical Specifications

The model is built on an evolved version of the PPE platform. The flagship version will deliver over 1000 hp, surpassing the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid (730 hp). The 113 kWh battery supports fast charging at 400 kW, wireless charging, and provides a range of over 595 km. Interior photos show an estimated range of 546 km without a full charge.

The model also received the Porsche Active Ride active suspension and the ability to tow up to 3500 kg, matching most mid-size pickup trucks with internal combustion engines.

Porsche is expected to continue revealing details about the electric Cayenne in the coming weeks and months before its debut at the end of 2025.

The electrification of the Cayenne takes place in the context of Porsche’s overall strategy aimed at increasing the share of electric vehicles in its product line. This model not only demonstrates technological progress but also reflects growing consumer demand for environmentally friendly transport without sacrificing the power and luxury traditionally associated with the brand. The success of this model could significantly influence the further development of premium electric SUVs as a whole.
