This Lamborghini Is So Unique That Its Owner Didn’t Dare to Drive It

Exclusive Lamborghini Aventador Miura Edition for Sale

The car that truly made Lamborghini famous is the original Miura. It is rightfully called the first true supercar, as it became the benchmark for many subsequent models. Now, a very rare tribute to this legendary machine is up for sale.

Limited Series and Historical Context

This 2017 Aventador Miura Edition is one of only 50 examples produced worldwide, with only 12 of them destined for American buyers.

It is memorable that the brand hinted at a modern Miura in the early 2000s. However, despite significant interest, the company stated that it would never build cars that rely too heavily on the past.

Of course, this approach was changed when models like the Countach LPI 800-4 appeared, which proved to be profitable. Even before the facelifted Aventador appeared, a special version – the Aventador Miura Edition – was introduced.

Design and Technical Features

Instead of completely redesigning the car’s body to resemble the Miura, Lamborghini decided to limit itself to applying special Miura emblems, unique paintwork, and other minor details. Thus, this model remains virtually a standard Aventador.

It is equipped with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 691 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed automated manual ISR gearbox.

Vehicle Condition and Sale Details

This particular example has only 528 miles on the odometer, indicating minimal use since purchase – averaging only 66 miles per year. Despite this, during the last service, it was found that the clutch life had already decreased by 2%.

The car is listed for sale at Diamond Motorworks for $499,800. Its value has hardly decreased if it can be sold for the stated amount.

Documentation confirms that the original manufacturer’s suggested retail price with options was $499,785. The new owner will also receive a special car cover, full service history, and two keys. The car has no accident history and is waiting for someone who can drive it as brand founder Ferruccio Lamborghini would have wanted.

This model is a vivid example of how automakers sometimes return to their iconic models, creating limited series for their most devoted fans. Although the Aventador Miura Edition did not become a full-fledged reincarnation of the Miura, it remains a collector’s item that combines modern technology and historical references. Its preservation in perfect condition with minimal mileage makes it even more valuable for car enthusiasts looking for unique specimens with potential for further value appreciation.
