Incentive for Rolls-Royce Electric Vehicles
Rolls-Royce is offering a $5,000 credit for leasing 2025-2026 Spectre models in the United States. This incentive replaces the expired federal $7,500 tax credit for electric vehicles. The brand from Goodwood is not the only one offering discounts on premium cars.
Context of the Offer
One might think that Rolls-Royce does not need discounts to attract potential customers, but it seems even it is not immune to the trend of subsidizing electric vehicles. Following the end of federal EV tax credits in the US, the luxury brand is offering a $5,000 credit for leasing the Spectre – a gesture that seems almost comical given the car’s starting price.
For a car with a starting price of $422,000, taking $5,000 off a lease deal doesn’t actually make it more affordable. In fact, the discount sounds more like a voucher for additional equipment. After all, most Rolls buyers spend a lot of money personalizing their cars, which has proven to be a great source of profit for the BMW-owned automaker.
Incentive Details
As reported, the new incentive appeared in a recent dealer bulletin distributed by Rolls-Royce. It applies to 2025 and 2026 model year vehicles that will be leased by November 30. It is worth noting that the brand quietly reduced the lease cash offer from $7,500 to $5,000, while the effective interest rate for financing is approximately 4.6% per annum.
Despite the discount, the US version of the Spectre is still more expensive than it was during the time of the now-defunct $7,500 federal EV tax credit. However, as with the new lease credit, it was not available to those who purchased the luxury coupe.

Spectre Technical Features
The fully electric Rolls-Royce Spectre has been around since 2023 and is currently offered in two variants. The base model develops 577 hp, while the Black Badge increases power to 650 hp, making it the most powerful representative of the Goodwood stable. Both electric cars are equipped with a 120 kWh battery pack that provides a range of 266 miles when using 23-inch wheels.
Other EV Discounts from Premium Brands
While the $5,000 discount from Rolls-Royce is not significant for potential buyers, other premium brands are offering much more generous discounts. Maserati recently announced a significant $50,000 incentive for purchasing or leasing the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore, as well as a $25,000 discount for the Grecale Folgore SUV.
Aston Martin is also trying to get rid of excess inventory in the US, announcing an incentive for selling off its lineup, despite the absence of any electric model. The discounts are $15,000 for the Vanquish, $12,000 for the DBX 707, $10,000 for the DB12, and $7,000 for the Vantage. These figures apply to both purchase and lease.

These initiatives point to a broader trend in the automotive industry, where even the most exclusive manufacturers are adapting to market conditions. Lease credit offers and discounts may serve as a strategy to maintain demand among the limited audience that can afford such cars, while demonstrating that the transition to electric vehicles is affecting all market segments, regardless of price category.
