Lexus Shows No Concern for the 2026 UX

2026 Model Year Update

Lexus has introduced the updated version of the compact crossover UX for the 2026 model year. The changes are minor and primarily concern new body color options. Specifically, the Ultra White color has replaced the previous Eminent White Pearl, and a monochrome Caviar shade has been added for the F Sport trim.

Technical Changes and Description Errors

The manufacturer announced a standard automatic headlight leveling system, as well as an optional thematic interior lighting for the Premium and F Sport versions. However, this information is questionable, as Lexus used last year’s press release without correcting its numerous inaccuracies.

Among the errors are claims that the car received a state-of-the-art 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, chrome accents, and updated controls. In reality, these updates were introduced back in 2025.

For the 2026 model year, the larger 12.3-inch multi-function display adorning the instrument panel has become standard for all Premium and F Sport models, while the 7.0-inch display is installed in the base version.

Specifications and Pricing

The powertrain remains unchanged – a hybrid system based on a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 196 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph takes 7.9 seconds in the all-wheel-drive version. The EPA-estimated fuel economy is up to 45 mpg in the city, 41 on the highway, and 43 combined.

The base price has increased by $215 and now stands at $38,250. The most expensive version, the UX 300h AWD F Sport Handling, has become $170 more expensive – up to $48,240.

Despite the announced updates, the changes in the 2026 model appear minimal. The use of an outdated press release may indicate that the manufacturer does not plan significant investments in the development of this model, focusing on other market segments. For potential buyers, it is important to carefully study the current specifications, as official sources do not always contain correct information.
