The Extravagant Color Scheme of the Porsche Cayman GT4 RS
The Porsche Cayman GT4 RS is considered one of the most balanced sports cars, but that doesn’t guarantee that every example will be a model of good taste. When it comes to customization, not all configurations turn out to be successful.
A vivid example is this particular GT4 RS, recently listed for sale by Porsche Bellevue in Washington. Its specification is possibly the strangest ever seen.
The main features of this car are:
Contrast of Exterior and Interior
The original owner clearly wanted the car to stand out. For a bright model like the GT4 RS, the green color looks quite appropriate. However, the blue accents raise doubts. The wheels, mirrors, edges of the rear wing, and air intakes on the hood are painted blue, making the Porsche resemble a blue-green remote-controlled car from the cartoon “Toy Story.” Even the Porsche lettering on the rear is executed in blue.
This Porsche looks like it was designed by a marker with attention deficit disorder

But if the exterior of this Cayman looks wild, the interior is even more extravagant. The seat bolsters and headrests are upholstered in blue leather; the same material is used on the door panels and the lower part of the dashboard. Elements painted green are scattered throughout the instrument panel, transmission tunnel, door panels, and even on the seats, where they highlight the contours. There are also fabric inserts on the seats, areas of black leather, and blue contrast stitching trying to unite all these elements into a single whole.
The Sonderwunsch Individual Order Program
This GT4 RS was configured through the Porsche Sonderwunsch program, known as the “Special Wishes” department, which allows clients to go far beyond the standard configurator. In this case, it resulted in over $50,000 worth of additional features and trim. Whether this money was spent wisely is a matter of personal taste, but it certainly didn’t go unnoticed.
At the time of the original material’s publication, the listing for this car had been removed from the Porsche Bellevue website, indicating that the car didn’t stay long. Whatever your opinion of this specification, someone was ready to take it home.
Similar experiments with colors and materials in premium cars often become the subject of lively discussions among car enthusiasts. They demonstrate how deeply a serial product can be personalized, turning it into a unique piece of art or, conversely, an example of questionable aesthetic decisions. The quick sale of this Porsche, despite its unconventional appearance, confirms the old rule: tastes differ, and for every car, there is an admirer. It also shows that the market for high-budget, exclusively configured sports cars remains active, where bold decisions can find their buyer.
