A rare 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider by Scaglietti was sold at an auction in Paris for 14 million euros. This is one of the most expensive public sales of this model in history. The car was kept by a single owner for over 30 years and has full factory certification. This is reported by RM Sotheby’s.

The sold specimen is the third of 56 short-wheelbase California Spiders produced and one of only 39 cars with covered headlights. The car was assembled in September 1960 and was delivered new to Paris through the official dealer Franco Britannic Autos. According to documents, it has had only four confirmed owners throughout its entire history.

The car is certified by Ferrari Classiche and has the so-called Red Book, which confirms the matching numbers of the engine, rear axle, and body. The certification was reconfirmed at the end of 2025, including the originality of the covered-headlight version.

The car underwent a complete restoration in Italy in the late 1990s and has since regularly participated in significant Ferrari events and concours d’elegance. The final sale price amounted to 14 million euros, which is equivalent to approximately 700 million UAH at the current exchange rate.
