New Accessible V8 from Jeep
Jeep has introduced a new special edition of the Wrangler off-roader called the Willys 392. This model is the most accessible version with a V8 engine in the Wrangler lineup.
The main focus of the new model is the powerful 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, which produces 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle is already available for order with a base price starting from $69,995, excluding additional fees.
Technical Features and Equipment
The engineering of the Wrangler Willys 392 is focused on improved off-road capabilities. The model received Dana 44 axles with a 4.56 gear ratio, an electronic rear differential lock, protective rock rails, and 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels. They are fitted with 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires.
Externally, the vehicle features steel bumpers, LED lighting, and a specially shaped hood with a cold air intake system and a moisture separator. Ground clearance is 282 mm. There is also a standard trailer tow package, Willys decals on the hood, and classic graphics reminiscent of four-wheel drive.
Interior and Comfort
The interior does not lag behind the exterior characteristics. The heated and power-adjustable front seats are upholstered in Nappa leather. Standard equipment includes four programmable auxiliary switches, a premium nine-speaker Alpine audio system, and a 12.3-inch multimedia system with navigation.
Our community made it clear that they want a Wrangler that returns to a more classic, simple formula, paired with the undeniable power of a V8. The Wrangler Willys 392 is our answer, grounded in our commitment to expand V8 accessibility across the entire Wrangler lineup.

This model is part of Jeep’s “Twelve 4 Twelve” campaign and occupies a position below the recently announced Wrangler Moab 392, being $10,000 more affordable. Orders for the new model will begin to be accepted in March.
The arrival of the Wrangler Willys 392 demonstrates an interesting market trend: against the backdrop of the general transition of automakers to electric vehicles and smaller engines, Jeep, on the contrary, is expanding the offering of powerful eight-cylinder engines in its key model. This indicates that the demand for “classic” powerful off-road vehicles among enthusiasts remains stable. The company seems to be betting on nostalgia and emotions, offering a product that combines modern technology with an iconic powertrain. The success of this strategy will be interesting to observe, especially considering the total cost of ownership of such a vehicle in changing conditions.
