New Bentley Urban SUV: First Spy Photos and Details
The popularity of the Bentley Bentayga made the appearance of a second SUV from the British brand only a matter of time. This new model, currently known under the working name Urban SUV, is already being actively tested, and it was spotted for the first time during winter trials.
The model will be smaller than the Bentayga and, most importantly, exclusively electric. Despite certain challenges in the electric vehicle market, the manufacturer is confident in the sales potential of such a car.
Here are the key expected features of the new SUV:
Design and Exterior
Although many design details are hidden by camouflage, prototypes already reveal characteristic front headlights with four main LED elements, giving the model a unique look among other Bentley cars. The rear is covered with temporary panels, but narrow rear lights can be glimpsed through the camouflage. For winter testing, the car was equipped with a powerful LED light bar at the front.
Technical Base and Specifications
Bentley is using the same Premium Platform Electric (PPE) for its second SUV as the new Porsche Cayenne Electric. This means many shared technical solutions, possibly even identical battery and electric motor options.
Our guess is that the base Bentley model will output around 600 hp. The question regarding a flagship version with over a thousand horsepower remains open.
It is known that Bentley will support ultra-fast DC charging, allowing a range recovery of 100 miles (160 km) in just seven minutes.

Interior and Cabin
First spy shots of the cabin, taken last year, showed that the model will receive a curved central multimedia screen, similar to the one installed in the Cayenne Electric, as well as a separate digital instrument cluster.
Furthermore, the compact electric Bentley SUV will inherit the multifunction steering column stalks from the new Audi Q3. This means all functions for turn signals, wipers, and lighting will be concentrated on the left stalk, while the right one will be dedicated solely to selecting drive modes.
The development of the new Urban SUV demonstrates Bentley’s strategy for electrification and expanding its lineup. Using a proven platform from Porsche helps reduce development costs and guarantees a high technical level, while borrowing interior elements from Audi indicates deeper integration within the Volkswagen Group. This crossover could become key to attracting a new, younger audience to the brand, offering a more compact and eco-friendly option compared to the Bentayga, but with the same standards of luxury and quality. The success of this model will largely depend on the final pricing policy and how uncompromisingly Bentley manages to integrate its luxury DNA into the framework of modern electric architecture.
