Shelby’s New Model: From Race Tracks to Lawns

Updated Shelby F-250 Super Baja

Shelby American has introduced an updated version of its powerful F-250 Super Baja pickup. This rugged off-roader, priced at over one hundred thousand dollars, is based on a fully-equipped F-250 Lariat with the Ultimate package.

Aggressive Design and Exterior

The vehicle’s exterior looks very expressive and aggressive. It received a new hood with an air intake system, positioned above the radiator grille with the signature Shelby logo. Below, a powder-coated bumper is installed, featuring integrated recovery points and a 40-inch LED light bar.

Designers also added extended wheel arches, fender vents with Shelby branding, as well as retractable running boards with protection and lighting. The exterior is complemented by side stripes, body graphics, and 20-inch wheels fitted with 37-inch BFGoodrich tires.

Off-Road Equipment

Key features include a special “Baja chase rack” with two spare wheels and a new nine-section LED light bar. Furthermore, buyers will receive protective body cladding, powder-coated exhaust tips, and a powerful rear bumper with LED reverse lights.

Updated Suspension and Technical Specifications

The changes affected not only the exterior. The F-250 was fitted with a new suspension from King Shocks, which increases ground clearance, extends travel, and fundamentally alters the vehicle’s on-road behavior. Details are not disclosed, but it is known that the package includes adjustable front shocks, rear shocks with additional reservoirs, dual steering stabilizers, and 2-inch-long tubular radius arms.

Interior and Powertrain

Interior photos have not been published yet; however, it is known that it will receive special leather seat covers, carbon fiber trim, and alloy pedals. The interior will also be adorned with embroidered floor mats and a badge on the center console.

The heart of the pickup is a high-performance 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel engine. It is estimated to produce 500 horsepower and 1200 lb-ft of torque. The unit is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

Price and Production

The price for the Shelby F-250 Super Baja starts at $159,795 USD, which already includes the cost of the base vehicle, which itself costs about $97,000. Production will be limited to 250 units. This model will be the first to be produced at the company’s new plant in Bristol, Indiana.

The presented pickup combines status, extreme exterior, and serious technical modifications aimed at conquering the most challenging off-road terrain. The limited series and the relocation of production to a new site underscore the special status of this model in the Shelby lineup. Such a price position makes it not only a tool but also a collector’s item for fans of the brand and powerful off-road vehicles.
